Arroyo: 'Nobody in my family or among my kin are above the law'
President Arroyo on Wednesday ordered the Department of Justice to look into fresh allegations that his son, Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel Arroyo, and brother-in-law, Rep. Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo, received P500,000 monthly in jueteng payoffs.

'I am Gary,' says aide of Iggy Arroyo
The chief of staff of Rep. Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo of Negros Occidental, the President's brother-in-law, said Wednesday that the voice of the man identified as "Gary" in the compact discs containing supposed conversations between President Arroyo and an elections commissioner sounded very much like his own.

BUTUAN CITY - At least 10 people were killed while 20 others were wounded and a civilian was taken hostage by withdrawing communist guerillas who attacked an Army patrol base in the hinterland village of Nueva Gracia in Loreto, Agusan del Sur, some 130 kilometers southeast of this city Wednesday morning, military reports said.
